Uroplata Chevrolat 1837:389.

Head: oblong; rounded; vertex smooth or no sulci. Antennae: 8-segmented; VII-VIII with whorls of golden setae. Pronotum: variable in form; at base narrower than elytra; side margins more or less rounded; disc frequently with 3 longitudinal vittae, one in middle and one on each side. Scutellum: transverse. Elytra: 10 1/2 or rarely 10 rows of punctures; 4 costae, 3rd and 4th united on apex; 3rd interrupted. Legs: moderately long; protibia occasionally with a tooth; empodium between tarsal claws.
