Among the Costa Rican Neivamyrmex, only five are known from both males and workers: opacithorax, pilosus mexicanus, punctaticeps, and swainsonii.
The following table lists Costa Rican species that are known from females (workers and/or queens) or males only, respectively. It is perhaps comforting that there are 14 of one, 14 of the other.
