I know this species from two collections:

Costa Rica, Prov. Limon, 25km NW Cahuita: coconut strand along beach edge; nest under debris (dead wood or old coconut husk) on ground. This collection contained major workers.

Comments

This species is in Fern‡ndez's C. lignata complex. However, there is no key and it is difficult to place it with respect to Fern‡ndez's species.
