Myrmicinae, Formicidae, Hymenoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia
Range
Costa Rica.
Identification
Color dark brown, pronotal dorsum faintly microareolate, clypeus with longitudinal rugulae, middle and hind tibiae with appressed pubescence but no erect setae.
Natural History
I know this species from one collection from La Selva Biological Station. I was climbing a small Ficus tree in the laboratory clearing, right behind the old ALAS lab. The tree was dominated by a large colony of Pseudomyrmex kuenckeli, but a few Xenomyrmex workers were scattered on the trunk in the middle crown area.
