Natural History
Workers of this species are known from one collection. Workers were found in a Winkler sample from the 1100m site on the Barva transect in Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Males have been collected in two different Malaise traps and a flight intercept trap at the 500m site (El Ceibo) on the Barva transect, Braulio Carrillo National Park, and from a light trap at La Selva Biological Station. They were collected in January, February, and March.
Comments
Males were previously identified as a separate morphospecies, JTL-003. CO1 (DNA barcode) sequence data (courtesy Alex Smith and BOLD) revealed the workers and males to be conspecific.
