Identification
Minor worker: head subtrapezoidal; scape with subdecumbent long pubescence, no erect setae; lateral margins of head with 1-3 erect setae near mandibular insertions, bare posteriorly; sides and dorsum of pronotum both flat and meeting at a sharp keel that is produced and projecting forward anterolaterally; dorsal and lateral faces of propodeum flat, meeting at a distinct angle; dorsal and posterior faces of propodeum distinct, meeting at a broadly rounded angle, subequal in length; propodeum in lateral view tall and narrow; face densely micropunctate, mesosoma and first gastral tergite shallowly microreticulate; first gastral tergite with sparse subdecument pubescence, abundant erect white to clear setae; integument black, sublucid throughout, scapes red brown.
Major worker: unknown.
Notes
I know this species from two minor workers from La Selva. One was collected in a recent branchfall, and the other was collected in a canopy fogging sample from the ALAS project.
