Range
Guatemala to Panama; sea level to 1250m. Costa Rica: widespread in wet forest, sea level to 500m.
Identification
Undamaged hair on mesosoma dorsum mostly erect to suberect; decumbent hairs much less abundant than longer, more erect pilosity; propodeal spines reduced to short tubercles; WL 0.60-0.85mm.
Notes
This species is commonly collected from Berlese or Winkler samples of forest floor leaf litter (Kugler 1994, additional Longino Winkler samples from Manuel Antonio, Hitoy Cerere, Turrialba, Sirena, La Selva). At La Selva Biological Station, Longino observed workers scattered over the newly sawed face of a dead log.
