Range
Guatemala to Bolivia. Costa Rica: Atlantic slope rainforest.
Identification
Small black species; mesosomal dorsum setose; no carina between mandible and eye; orifice of propodeal spiracle circular, not slit shaped (note that other species may have a circular boss around the spiracular orifice, but orifice itself is slit-shaped); scapes barely attaining margin of vertex; petiole scale-shaped, tapering dorsally; ventral process of petiole an even convex curve; erect setae projecting from sides of head; dorsal and lateral faces of pronotum continuous, not differentiated; anteromedian margin of clypeus triangular, lacking a short spine.
Natural History
This species inhabits rainforest litter. I know it from one specimen, from a Winkler sample from Hitoy Cerere Biological Reserve.
