Identification
Minor worker: head length 0.57mm, head width 0.50mm, scape length 0.50mm, Webers length 0.71mm (n=1). Head rounded behind, with small median excavation; mesonotal suture absent; promesonotum evenly arched in profile; humeri produced as triangular tubercles; propodeal spines long, spiniform; face punctatorugose marginally, smooth and shining medially; mesosoma uniformly foveolate; first gastral tergum smooth and shining; dorsal pilosity sparse, short, stiff; mesosomal setae microscopically branched at apex; color orange.
Major worker: head length 0.93mm, head width 0.89mm, scape length 0.49mm (n=1). Clypeus with median keel; face punctatorugose throughout, rugae reticulate laterally and posteriorly, longitudinal and subparallel medially, between frontal carinae; hypostomal margin straight, with very small, nubbin-like median tooth and pointed lateral teeth about one half to two thirds distance from midline to recessed teeth flanking mandible bases (Figure); dorsal pilosity abundant; head with abundant erect setae projecting from sides of head in face view.
The type specimens are from Barro Colorado Island, Panama.

Costa Rica, Panama. Costa Rica: Atlantic lowlands.
Natural History
Arboreal in lowland wet forest; nesting in dead branches.
