Identification
Minor worker: head length 0.57mm, head width 0.53mm, scape length 0.44mm, Webers length 0.67mm (n=1). Head flattened to slightly excavate behind; mesonotal suture absent; propodeal spines very short; face superficially punctatorugose, rugae longitudinal, linear, subparallel over most of face; promesonotal dorsum largely punctatorugose; sides of pronotum smooth and shining; katepisternum and propodeum foveolate; gaster smooth and shining; dorsal pilosity abundant, flexuous; color red brown.
Major worker: head length 0.90mm, head width 0.84mm, scape length 0.42mm (n=1). Anterior two thirds of face puntatorugose, rugae longitudinal, subparallel; posterior third of face and vertex lobes smooth and shining; antennal scrobes present in the form of small, shallow depressions beneath apices of scapes; surface of scrobe smooth and shining; clypeus smooth, without median keel; hypostomal margin gently curved, with small, rounded median tooth, and pair of stout, sharp teeth about one half distance to recessed teeth flanking mandible bases; dorsal pilosity abundant; head with abundant, suberect setae projecting from sides of head in face view.

Costa Rica: Atlantic slope of Cordillera Central.
Natural History
Inhabits wet forest.
Selected Records
Braulio Carrillo National Park (500m): mature wet forest. Canopy tree. Nest under epiphyte mat. This species found under many epiphyte mats in the canopy, perhaps part of one large polydomous colony.
