Identification
Minor worker: head length 0.54mm, head width 0.44mm, scape length 0.51mm, Webers length 0.59mm (n=1). Head rounded behind, with weak median indentation; mesonotal suture weakly impressed; humeri somewhat produced; propodeal spines moderately long, spiniform; face and mesosoma superficially foveolate throughout, somewhat shining (rather than the mat surface typical of more strongly foveolate species); first gastral tergum smooth and shining; dorsal pilosity sparse (about 8 setae on promesonotum), short, stiff; color dirty yellow brown.
Major worker: head length 0.97mm, head width 0.93mm, scape length 0.53mm (n=1). Face largely foveolate, overlain with subparallel, longitudinal rugae on anterior half; vertex lobes smooth and shining, shinyness extending a short distance onto face; hypostomal margin gently curved, with no median tooth, and a pair of small teeth about one half distance from midline to recessed teeth flanking mandible bases; dorsal pilosity sparse, stiff; head with sparse, short, stiff setae projecting from sides of head in face view.
Range
Costa Rica: Atlantic lowlands.
Natural History
This species is arboreal, in mature lowland rainforest.
