Identification
Minor worker: head length 0.62mm, head width 0.60mm, scape length 0.69mm, Webers length 0.86mm (n=1). Head broadly rounded behind; promesonotum evenly arched, mesonotal suture very weakly impressed or absent; propodeal spines absent, juncture of propodeal dorsum and declivity marked by prominent transverse carina; face, mesosoma, and gaster largely smooth and shining, with transverse carinae on posterodorsal promesonotum, propodeal dorsum; dorsal pilosity abundant, long, flexuous; color red brown.
Major worker: head length 1.53mm, head width 1.46mm, scape length 0.65mm (n=1). Face punctatorugose throughout; clypeus smooth and shining with broad, low, median prominence; hypostomal margin with low, rounded medial lobe, pair of subtriangular teeth located about half way between midline and recessed teeth flanking mandibles; dorsal pilosity abundant; head with abundant setae projecting from sides of head in face view.

Costa Rica: Atlantic lowlands.
Natural History
Inhabits lowland rainforest; nests in dead wood on ground.
