Identification
Dorsal hairs of mesosoma and gaster not conspicuously plumose; postpetiolar dorsum largely smooth and shining, with faint traces of longitudinal costulae; basidorsal costulae of AT4 forming a narrow fringe, less than a third the length of postpetiole.
This appears to be an upper montane form of dentiloba, and follows the trend many cloud forest taxa show of having extensive shiny areas that are rugose or punctate in their lowland counterparts. In an elevational transect of sifted litter samples in Braulio Carrillo National Park, dentiloba occurred from La Selva to 950m elevation, JTL-001 in three samples from 1000-1200m elevation.
Range
Costa Rica. Known from one area between 1000-1200m elevation in Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Natural History
Hylomyrma workers and queens occur in samples of sifted leaf litter from the forest floor. Little else is known about them.
