Morphology. Testaceous; pronotum with brown medial vitta; eyes, scutellum, and first 9 antennomeres black, apical antennomeres brown; tarsi brown; meso- and metatibiae brown; profemur and tibia with diffuse brown markings; venter testaceous with pro-, meso-, and metasterna black laterally; abdomen darkening to apex. Head: vertex impunctate; medial sulcus present; tooth present between antennal bases; frons carinate; clypeus punctate. Antennae: antennomere I subglobose, short; II-VI cylindrical, with II-V subequal in length; VI shorter than preceding; VII-XI wider than preceding; VII-X transverse; XI pointed at apex; I-VI with scattered setae; VII-XI setose. Pronotum: longer than wide; convex; lateral margin sinuate; anterior angle with blunt, oblique tooth; posterior angle with small, acute tooth; transverse basal impression present; longitudinal medial sulcus on disk; densely punctate. Scutellum: quadrate; micropunctate. Elytra: slightly constricted behind humerus; lateral margin smooth, marginate; exterior apical angle marginate, rounded; apical margin marginate, smooth; sutural angle with smooth acute tooth; humerus slightly produced, angulate; 10 rows of punctures plus short scutellar row; interspace 4 costate, flattened at base; 6 & 8 costate but less produced; 2 costate at apex. Venter: pro- and mesosterna smooth medially, punctate laterally; metasternum smooth medially, rugose laterally; abdominal sterna smooth. Total length: 6.7-9.1 mm.
