Xenochalepus erythroderus (Chapuis)

Head and pronotum reddish-orange; antennae, eyes, legs, and elytra black. Head: medial sulcus present; vertex alutaceous; frons projecting. Antennae: segment I cuspidate; II transverse; III cylindrical; IV-VI transverse; VII-X cylindrical; XI acutely pointed at apex; VII and XI longest, subequal in length; VII-XI sulcate; I-VI punctate. Pronotum: basal impression present; covered with large, dense punctures; side margins sinuate, constricted at apex; small tooth in anterior angles; posterior angles acute. Scutellum: quadrate; alutaceous. Elytra: expanded to apex; side margins smooth; apical margins dentate; punctures deeply impressed; suture and interval 2 costate, interval 4 carinate, 8 costate on apical half. Venter: pro- and mesosterna orangish-red, rest black; meso- and metasterna punctate at sides; abdominal sterna rugose at sides; sterna 3-5 with punctures in middle. Legs: femora striate at base, punctate at apex; tibiae punctate, with fringe of setae at apex. Total length: 6.5 mm.
