Sceloenopla Chevrolat 1837:388.

Variable in form but with long legs, especially anterior pair; male tibiae may have teeth. Head: medial sulcus present; no keel between antennal bases. Antennae: 11-segmented; last four antennal segments shorter than preceding four segments; I globular, small; II subcylindrical, twice length of I; III-VI cylindrical, IV longest. Pronotum: longer than wide; flattened; margined laterally; basal impression absent; may have tooth in anterior angles. Scutellum: cuspidate. Elytra: 10 rows of punctures plus scutellar row; 4 costae, 2 highly carinate; humeri produced; exterior apical angles may have tooth. Legs: elongate, especially anterior pair.
