Sceloenopla sp.1 Staines ms.

Head and antennae black; pronotum brownish-yellow with wide medial longitudinal black vitta; elytra black with lateral and apical margins brownish-yellow and brownish-yellow vitta from base to apical quarter. Head: medial sulcus present; slightly depressed between eyes; depression lightly punctate; frons not projecting. Antennae: segments I-II subglobose; III cylindrical, sulcate; IV expanded to apex, shorter than III; IV-VII expanded to apex, each shorter than preceding; VIII-X transverse, setose; XI bluntly pointed at apex, setose. Pronotum: convex; tooth in anterior angles; basal impression present; basal margin densely punctate; few punctures on disk, remainder impunctate; side margins straight and divergent for basal half, then straight and convergent, obtusely angulate in middle. Scutellum: quadrate, punctate, black. Elytra: side margins smooth; apical margins dentate; exterior apical angle with small tooth; 12 complete rows of punctures plus scutellar row of 3 punctures; interval 4 strongly carinate for entire length. Venter: prosternum pale in middle, dark at sides, impunctate; meso- and metasterna totally dark and punctate at sides; abdominal sterna dark in center, pale at sides, 5 visible abdominal sterna. Legs: coxae and tarsi dark; femora and tibiae yellow with dark markings; tibiae spatulate. Total length: 7.3 mm.
