Sceloenopla godmani (Baly)

Subquadrate; elytra greatly expanded; head, pronotum, and elytra yellowish-red; venter yellow difussed with black. Head: medial fovea present, becomes carina before base of antennae; vertex sparsely punctate; small tooth present between antennal bases. Antennae: more than half the length of the body; filiform; segments cylindrical; I-II short, subequal in length; III-VII cylindrical, III as long as I and II combined; VIII-X transverse; XI pointed at apex. Pronotum: transverse, twice as long as wide; strongly constricted anteriorly; lateral margins straight and divergent from base to middle, then in a deep angular notch; tooth present in each anterior angle; irregularly punctate. Scutellum: cordate; smooth. Elytra: much wider than pronotum; lateral margins broadly dilated, obtusely rounded; exterior apical angle angulate, not produced; flattened between humeri; humeri strongly produced laterally; 10 rows of deep punctures; rows 1-2 abbreviated at base in a longitudinal cavity; suture plus intrevals 2, 4, 6, and 8 costate; area between costae black except in middle; lamina with reddish fasciae. Venter: prosternum smooth; mesosternum with umbone medially; metasternum punctate laterally. Legs: pale yellow. Total length: 11-14 mm.
