Sceloenopla antennata (Baly)

Hispinae, Chrysomelidae, Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia


Elongate, flattened; yellowish. Head: vertex smooth, impunctate; front with few deep punctures, medial line with longitudinal sulcus. Antennae: more than half body length; segments I-II cylindrical, I shorter than II; III-VII compressed, III-IV subequal in length; V-VII decreasing in length; VIII-XI cylindrical, hirsute. Pronotum: quadrate; side margins nearly parallel at base, obtusely angulate behind middle, then converging and sinuate to apex; anterior angles with small tooth; convex; basal impression present; densely punctate, puncture large. Elytra: side margins nearly parallel, slightly dilated apically, serrulate, blackish; apical angles dilated into triangular process; each elytron with 11 puncture rows at base; interval 4 costate. Total length: 9.0 mm.
