Pseudispa Chapius 1875:328.

Body elongate, little convex. Head: small; medial sulcus present. Antennae: segment I short; II elongate; III-VII obconical, decreasing in length; VIII-XI shorter than preceding, cylindrical, thickened. Pronotum: side margins subparallel; basal impression present; longitudinal medial sulcus. Elytra: oblong, parallel-sided; almost vertical from 3rd costa; secondary rows of punctures present between intervals II and IV; margins not dentate; humeri not pronounced; apices almost vertical, truncate.
