Reddish-orange with antennae, eyes, and humeri dark. Head: faint medial sulcus; few punctures near eyes; vertex alutaceous; front projecting. Antennae: segment I reddish, rest black; I subglobose, large; II transverse; III cylindrical; IV-VII transverse; VIII elongate, truncate at apex; VII-VIII hirsute; IV-VI with setae. Pronotum: convex; side margins sinuate; small tooth in anterior angles; posterior angles acute; scattered large punctures; slight basal impression. Scutellum: quadrate; alutaceous. Elytra: side margins dentate; apices more dentate; 8 regular rows of punctures; 3 weak costae; humeri slightly produced. Venter: reddish-yellow; mesosternum punctate at sides; abdominal sterna rugose at sides. Legs: femora dark at base and apex, punctate; tibiae dark with golden setae, fringe at apex. Total length: 5.0 mm.
Larval host plants: Serjania, Paullinia (Sapindaceae),
and Pithecoctenium echinatum K. Schum. (Bignoniaceae).
