Demotispa nevermanni Uhmann

Hispinae, Chrysomelidae, Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia


Convex; reddish-brown, margins paler. Head: vertex impunctate; medial sulcus absent; frons not projecting. Antennae: segments I-VII pale, VII-XI darker; I robust; II cylindrical, distinctly longer than I; III longer than II; IV-XI decreasing in length; IV-XI hirsute; XI pointed at apex. Pronotum: basal margin bisinuate; side margins curved from base to apex; anterior angles rounded; posterior angles rectangulate; side margins reflexed; impunctate except for a few punctures along side margins. Scutellum: triangular; alutaceous. Elytra: convex; side and apical margins smooth; side margins laminate; puncture row 10 distant from side margin; rows of punctures moderately impressed; constricted behind humeri. Venter: mesosternum punctate at sides; abdomen hirsute. Legs: femora with scattered setae; tibiae with fringe of setae at apex. Total length: 4.5 mm.
