Chalepus consanguineus Baly

Hispinae, Chrysomelidae, Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia


Elongate, parallel; black. Head: vertex smooth, impunctate; front with deep longitudinal sulcus; interocular space strongly produced. Antennae: less than half body length; slightly thickened to apex; segments cylindrical. Pronotum: transverse; side margins slightly but distinctly angulate, converging base to apex, more quickly converging before middle; basal depression; coarsely, densely punctate. Elytra: parallel-sided; apices rounded; side margins obsoletely serrulate; apical margin serrulate; each elytron with 10 rows of punctures, reduced to 9 just before middle; intervals 2 and 4 costate, 8 less raised. Total length: 6.7 mm.
