Chalepus sp.2 Staines ms.

Head, antennae, and legs black; pronotum orangish with central black macula; elytra orangish with entire sutural vitta extending laterally to costa 1 and apically expanded to lateral margins. Head: medial sulcus present; vertex alutaceous; weak sulcus present on inner margin of each eye; frons torulose; row of setae present on outer margin of each eye. Antennae: segment I subglobose; II transverse; III-IV cuspidate; V-X transverse; XI obliquely pointed at apex; I-VI punctate, VII-XI setose. Pronotum: transverse; basal impression present; constricted just behind apical margin; lateral margins sinuate; convex dorsally; punctate; tooth present in each anterior angle. Scutellum: cordate; alutaceous. Elytra: lateral margins serrate; apical margin dentate; tricostate, 1 most pronounced, 2 sinuate at apex; puncture rows 4-6 expanded to 2 additional rows apically. Venter: prosternum orangish, black laterally on basal half, punctate medially, rugosoe laterally; mesosternum black and alutaceous laterally, orangish and smooth medially; metasternum with row of punctures behind mesocoxae, 2 longitudinal rows of punctures laterally, smooth medially, alutaceous laterally; abdominal sterna black, alutaceous laterally, smooth medially; segments 3-4 with row of setae apically; 5 with scattered white setae. Legs: tibiae and femora punctate; tibiae with fring of setae at apex. Total length: 5.7 mm.
