Chalepus nigripictus Baly

Elongate, parallel, black. Head: front deeply trisulcate; interocular space strongly produced. Antennae: half body length, robust, fusiform; segments I and II short, equal; III one and one-half times length of II, subclavate. Pronotum: subconical; side margins obliquely converging base to apex, constricted before middle; anterior angles with tooth; disc flattened, depressed behind middle; large, well-defined punctures, shallower and less distinct at sides. Elytra: elongate; parallel; apices rounded, entire; side margins serrulate; apical margins with regularly placed teeth; each elytron with 10, in the middle 9 rows of punctures; suture and intervals 2, 4, 6, and 8 costate, 6 interrupted in middle; yellowish, apical third, sutural vitta, and short humeral vitta black. Legs: elongate; apices of protibiae black. Total length: 6.7 mm.
