Chalepus digressus Baly

Hispinae, Chrysomelidae, Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia


Elongate, parallel; yellowish; head, scutellum, and venter darker; pronotum and elytra with dark vittae. Head: frons projecting, trisulcate; median sulcus present. Antennae: segments cylindrical; segment III longer than II. Pronotum: transverse; sides converging from base to apex, bisinuate, distinctly angulate in middle; transversely convex; densely rugo-punctate; black vitta on disc and side margins. Elytra: parallel-sided; apices obtusely rounded; side margins finely serrulate; apical margins denticulate; each elytron with 10 puncture rows at base, reduced to 9 in middle; intervals 2, 4, and 8 strongly costate, 6 costate at base and apex; sutural margin black. Total length: 6.75 mm.
