Chalepus assmani Uhmann

Hispinae, Chrysomelidae, Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia


Elongate, subparallel; yellowish-red; antennae and head black; pronotum with side margins and medial vitta black; elytra with medial vitta and apical fourth black. Head: vertex trisulcate, medial more pronounced. Antennae: slender; at apex slightly incrassate; segment I longer than wide; II shorter, rounded; III conical, longer than I, almost twice as long as wide; IV shorter than III, nearly as long as wide; V slightly longer than IV; VI as long as II, squarish; VII subequal in length to V; VIII-X weakly square, each segment as wide as long; XI subequal in length to III, pointed at apex. Pronotum: transverse; densely and strongly punctate; sides angulate in middle, convergent to base and apex; prebasal impression present. Total length: 6.0-7.0 mm.
