Broadly elongate; shining black dorsally; antennae with segments III-XI yellow; elytra yellow with black humeral macula and subovate sutural macula; venter black except yellow abdomen; legs yellow. Head: vertex concave; deeply punctate; medial sulcus absent; frons not projecting. Antennae: filiform; segments I and II darker; I scarcely incrassate, punctate, longer than III; II transverse, short; III-IV cylindrical, IV longer than III; V-X transverse, subequal in length; XI pointed at apex, longer than preceding. Pronotum: transversely quadrate; covered with large, round punctures; punctures dark, more dense laterally; sides margined, canaliculate, straight and parallel, narrowed and rounded at apex; anterior angles slightly produced; posterior angles rectangular. Scutellum: smooth; pentagonal; black. Elytra: much wider than pronotum; sides margined, smooth, parallel; apices obtusely rounded; slightly flattened along suture; each elytron with 10 complete rows of punctures and short sutural row, punctures moderately impressed; puncture rows confused apically; humeral maculae small. Venter: pro-, meso-, and metasterna yellowish and smooth in middle, black and punctate at sides; abdomen yellow; male with last abdominal sternite broadly truncate; female weakly emarginate, convex. Legs: yellow; tibiae with setae on apical half. Total length: 4.6-4.8 mm.
Adults collected on an unidentified Zingiberaceae.
