Reddish-brown with eyes darker. Head: vertex and front with two deep, longitudinal sulci which reach antennal bases; longitudinal carina between sulci; front depressed; vertex impunctate. Antennae: as long as head and pronotum combined; segments I-II short, subequal in length, reddish-black, glabrous; rest black, hirsute; I robust, clavate; II cylindrical; III-X transverse, III shorter than I or II; XI rounded at apex. Pronotum: transverse; convex; sparsely punctate with shallow punctures; sides margined, canaliculate, parallel from base to beyond middle, then rounded and converging to apex; apical margin truncate; anterior angles slightly produced, broadly rounded; posterior angles acute. Scutellum: longer than wide; subcordate; apex acute. Elytra: narrow oblong; sides margined, smooth, parallel; obliquely rounded toward apices; apices truncate; punctate-striate, punctures large, little impressed; puncture rows converge and unite at apex. Venter: metasternum punctate laterally; abdominal sterna 1 and 2 fused in middle; all glabrous. Legs: tibiae with fringe of setae at apex. Total length: 3.6-4.1 mm.
