Cephaloleia stevensi Baly

Small species; head, legs, and pronotum reddish-brown; elytra yellow; pronotum and elytra with black markings. Head: vertex depressed between eyes, densely punctate; front punctate; frons not projecting. Antennae: half body length; filiform; segments I-II reddish-brown, rest darker; I cylindrical, longer than II or III; II transverse, short; III-V cylindrical, subequal in length; VI-X transverse, subequal in length; XI pointed at apex, longer than preceding; III-XI setose. Pronotum: yellow with wide black longitudinal vitta medially; wider than long; slightly excavated transversely at base; strongly, densely punctate; sides black, margined, straight, parallel, rounded at apex; apical margin truncate; anterior angles not produced; posterior angles rectangular. Scutellum: pentagonal, black. Elytra: narrow, oblong; sides margined, smooth, parallel; apices rounded; strongly punctate-striate, rows of punctures slightly confused at apex; yellow with black oblong macula on humeral callus, and two large round maculae, one at base and one just beyond midline. Venter: pro-, meso-, and metasterna smooth in middle, punctate at sides; abdominal sterna 1 and 2 fused in middle, middle smooth, sides punctate; sterna 3-5 setose. Legs: totally pale; tibiae with setae on inner apex. Total length: 3.4-3.8 mm.
