Cephaloleia semivittata Baly

Head, antennae, and pronotum black; elytra reddish-yellow with black sutural and lateral vittae. Head: front finely, sparsely punctate; vertex densely punctate; medial carina present; frons not projecting. Antennae: filiform; segments I and III subequal in length; II transverse, shorter than I or III; III cylindrical; IV-X transverse; XI rounded at apex; IV-XI setose. Pronotum: quadrate; moderately convex; strongly punctate; longitudinal section of disc impunctate; sides margined, slightly canaliculate, straight, parallel; apical margin and anterior angles margined in black; anterior angles produced, obtuse; posterior angles rectangular. Scutellum: black; pentagonal, smooth. Elytra: sides margined, smooth; humeri rounded, slightly produced; apices cojointly rounded; reddish-yellow on basal half, on apical half a black vitta from lateral margins to suture, extends between puncture rows 5-10; lateral margin yellow; narrow, oblong; flattened along suture; strongly punctate-striate. Venter: black coloration variable; pro-, meso-, and metasterna reddish-brown and smooth in middle, dark and punctate at sides; abdominal sterna 1 and 2 punctate, fused in middle. Total length: 4.6-4.8 mm.
