Cephaloleia sallei Baly

Elongate; subdepressed; reddish-yellow; eyes and antennae (except segment I) black. Head: vertex sparsely punctate; medial sulcus present; keel between antennae; frons not projecting. Antennae: segment I subincrassate, obovate, longer than II, reddish; II transverse; III cylindrical, subequal in length to I; IV-V cylindrical, subequal in length to III; VI-X transverse; XI rounded at apex, longer than I; I-III punctate; IV-XI setose. Pronotum: transverse-quadrate; slightly convex; transverse basal impression on each side; disc nearly impunctate; some punctures on sides and base; sides margined, subparallel, rounded in front; anterior angles obtuse; posterior angles acute. Scutellum: triangular; longer than wide; apex very acute. Elytra: wider than base of pronotum; sides margined, smooth; apices obtusely rounded, not serrulate; humeri rounded, slightly produced; each elytron with 11 striae at base; punctures little impressed; rows of punctures converge and unite at apex. Venter: pro-, meso-, and metasterna smooth; abdominal sterna setose, 1 and 2 not fused in middle; male with last abdominal segment concave, pygidium obtusely truncate; female with last abdominal segment bisinuate, slightly produced in middle, pygidium obtuse, weakly bisinuate. Legs: femora robust; tibiae dentate at apex, with setae on inner apex. Total length: 5.2-6.4 mm.
