Reddish-brown, eyes and antennae darker. Head: vertex punctate, not depressed between eyes; faint median sulcus present; wide keel between antennae. Antennae: half body length; cylindrical; segment I clavate, compressed, longer than II; II transverse, robust, subequal in length to III; III cylindrical; IV-X transverse; subequal in length; XI rounded at apex; I-II reddish-brown; III-XI darker. Pronotum: subquadrate; flattened; disc finely, sparsely punctate, sides margined, parallel; apical margin concave; anterior angles produced, obtuse; posterior angles acute. Scutellum: elongate, acutely triangular. Elytra: wider than base of pronotum; sides margined, smooth; apices obtusely rounded; humeri rounded, slightly produced; punctures little impressed, large; puncture rows converge and unite at apex. Total length: 6.1-7.1 mm. Food plants: Adults have been collected on Renealmia sp. (Zingiberaceae- Zingiberoideae). |
