Elongate; head and antennae black, pronotum yellow with black anterior and posterior maculae, elytra yellow with black sutural and lateral vittae. Head: vertex sparsely, finely punctate; 3 carinae near base of antennae; frons yellowish and punctate. Antennae: segment I incrassate, fringe of setae on lower apex; II-X subequal in length; II transverse; III triangular in male, cylindrical in female; IV cylindrical; V-X transverse; XI rounded at apex, 3/4 length of I. Pronotum: yellow except black apical and basal margins; wider than long; sparsely, irregularly punctate, disc impunctate; sides margined, straight and divergent for basal 3/4, then rounded and convergent; anterior angles rounded, not produced; posterior angles rectangular. Scutellum: pentagonal; black; alutaceous. Elytra: flattened; sides margined, smooth, parallel; apices cojointly rounded; puncture row 1 finely striate; punctures almost obsolete; sides black; sutural vitta to puncture row 2; lateral vitta to puncture row 8; sutural and lateral vittae unite near apex; rest of elytra yellow. Venter: pro-, meso-, and metasterna yellow and smooth in middle, black and rugose at sides; abdominal sterna black laterally, yellow medially; last sternite rounded, bisinuate in male. Legs: femora yellow except for base and apex; tibiae and tarsi darker; apex of tibiae spoonshaped depression with fringe of setae; middle pair of legs densely pubescent, yellowish-brown. Total length: 7.0-8.5 mm.
Adults collected feeding on H. imbricata, C.
macrosepala K. Schumann, and C. insignis.
