Cephaloleia erichsonii Baly

Reddish-brown, eyes and apex of antennae darker. Head: vertex smooth; medial sulcus absent; frons not projecting. Antennae: variable in coloration- black, first one or two segments yellow; male with first four or five segments compressed; segment I clavate, almost twice length of II, subtriangular; II-III nearly equal, subtriangular; in female segment III longer than II; IV-X transverse, subequal in length; XI pointed at apex. Pronotum: subquadrate; slightly convex; very finely and sparsely punctate; disc surface smooth; sides broadly reflexed, slightly rounded, somewhat dilated; anterior angles obtuse, slightly produced; posterior angles rectangular. Scutellum: broadly triangular, smooth. Elytra: wider than pronotum; apex obtusely rounded; convex; disc flattened; sides deflected and excavated behind humeri; indistinct longitudinal sulcus at humeral callus; rows of punctures moderately impressed, almost obsolete at apex, confused at apex. Venter: prosternum smooth; meso- and metasterna smooth in middle, punctate at sides; abdominal sterna 1 and 2 fused in middle; 3-5 setose; last abdominal segment truncate, slightly sinuate in male; female truncate, broadly but slightly sinuate. Legs: femora sparsely punctate; tibiae setose at apex, spatulate. Total length: 6.7-8.0 mm.
