Cephaloleia deficiens Uhmann

Small, ovate-elongate; yellow-testaceous; antennae, head, and mouthparts black; black vitta on pronotum and elytra. Head: black; densely punctate, golden seta in each puncture; medial sulcus present; frons not projecting. Antennae: reddish-brown; half body length; no projections on any segment; segment I short, slightly clavate; II cylindrical, shorter than I or III; III cylindrical, longer than I, slightly shorter than XI; IV-X cylindrical, subequal in length; XI acutely pointed at apex; I-V with some setae, VI-XI setose. Pronotum: narrow, transverse, widest at base; medial black longitudinal vitta from base to apex; densely punctate; sides margined, parallel; anterior angles rounded, with small tooth. Scutellum: black; smooth; pentagonal. Elytra: much wider than base of pronotum; margins smooth; apices cojointly rounded; punctures little impressed, larger on disc; humeri nearly impunctate; black orbicular macula on suture around scutellum, narrows and disappears before middle. Venter: pro-, meso-, and metasterna yellow and smooth in middle, dark and punctate at sides; abdomen reddish-brown; sterna 1 and 2 fused in middle; 3-5 setose. Legs: yellowish; femora dark at apex; tibiae with setae on inner apex, apex dentate. Total length: 4.5 mm.
