This site is for the identification of ground beetles (Carabidae: Coleoptera) found on The Evergreen State College Campus, Olympia, Washington. Keys and species accounts were made using the specimens in the TESC collection. The text used in the genus and species accounts was taken from Lindroth (1961-1969) and Kavanaugh (1992). As more carabid species are found on campus, they will be added to the Web site. This Web site is the result of an individual learning contract done by Matthew Denton in winter quarter of 1997 which was sponsored by John T. Longino.
