Range
Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador (Lattke 1995). Costa Rica: mid-elevation Atlantic slope in Cordillera Volcanica Central.
Identification
Both promesonotal suture and metanotal suture distinct, completely breaking sculpture; anteroventral process of petiole square-cut, with sharp posterior angle.
Notes
This uncommon species inhabits forest floor leaf litter in montane wet forest. In Costa Rica it is known from three Winkler samples: Heredia: Casa Plastico, 17km S Pto. Viejo, 10¡18'N, 84¡2'W, 550m (coll. J. Longino); 16km N Vol. Barba, 10¡16'N, 84¡5'W, 1020m (coll. J. Longino); 17km N Vol. Barba, 10¡17'N, 84¡5'W, 880m (coll. J. Longino).
