Costa Rica (San Luis Valley near Monteverde).
Identification
Pronotum separated from remainder of mesosoma by a very distinct suture, completely breaking the sculpture; anteroventral process of petiole a regularly tapering anterior tooth, not square-cut; petiolar node tilted posteriad in side view, the postero-dorsal angle sharply rounded and overhanging the posterior face; scapes surpassing margin of vertex by less than length of first funicular segment when laid back; HL 1.115, HW 0.879, SL 0.963, WL 1.542 (n=1).
Natural History
Known from one collection:
Puntarenas: San Luis Valley, 10¡17'N, 84¡47'W, 1100m (J. Longino). Evergreen forest. Nest in live stem Eleagina(?) (Rubiac.); entire nest collected; contained only workers and 1 poor-looking larva.
