Range
Mexico to Costa Rica (type locality) (Fernandez 2003). Costa Rica: widespread in wet to moist forests throughout country, from lowland rainforests of La Selva and Corcovado to montane cloudforest of Monteverde.
Identification
Posterior margin of postpetiole drawn out into an acute tooth projecting over gaster; WL=0.55mm (n=1).
Natural History
Inhabits forest floor litter. Known from Winkler and Berlese samples.

Apsychomyrmex silvestrii Menozzi 1931:270. Syntype workers: Costa Rica, San Jose (Tristan).
