Description

Basal portion of dorsal surface of mandibles microreticulate, distal portion, near masticatory margin, with scattered piligerous puncta, otherwise smooth and shining, not rugose; face longitudinally striate, striae thin, subequal in width to intervals, intervals smooth and shiny; vertex margin distinct laterally, effaced medially; face and vertex meeting at obtuse angle; vertex with median cluster of longitudinal striae, smooth and shining laterally; eyes broadly rounded in anterior view; frontal carina curves mesad at torulus, joining lateralmost longitudinal carina on clypeus; juncture of carinae evident, with clypeal carina posterior to juncture subequal in size to frontal carina; lateral clypeus forming a trough anterior to torulus, such that torulus appears somewhat recessed or pushed in; mesonotal teeth in the form of low, broad, obtusely subangular lobes; anterolateral propodeal lobes present; propodeal suture impressed; AT4 largely smooth and shining, with barest traces of longitudinal rugulae near petiolar insertion, more pronounced longitudinal rugulae at posterior margin, converging to a point immediately anterior to posterior margin; AT5 transversely rugulose; face, mesosoma, and gaster covered with abundant, short, stiff, suberect setae.
