Diagnosis

Frontal carinae curve mesad posterior to torulus, leaving entire torulus exposed, torulus a conspicuous elongate cylinder; AT4 densely punctate.

Additional Description

Face sculpture of narrow striae, intervals wider than striae, smooth and shining, striae largely longitudinal, somewhat vermiculate, with partially formed lateral connections (similar to clathrate sculpture of mayri, carbonarius, etc.); face and vertex barely differentiated, face and vertex forming an even convex curve in lateral view; longitudinal facial striae extend unbroken across vertex to occipital carina; lateral carinae on vertex slant medially from occipital carina to vertex margin; eyes broadly rounded in anterior view; mesonotal teeth absent; anterolateral propodeal lobes absent; propodeal suture impressed; propodeal spines thin, needle-like; petiole subcylindrical, elongate; ; AT5 punctatorugulose; face, mesosoma, and gaster covered with abundant, short, stiff, erect setae; HW 0.98mm (n=1).

Natural History

Nothing is known of the biology of this species. It is known from two localities between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
