The specimen shown in the image above is a queen from Bolivia, collected by William Mann on the Mulford Expedition. It represents an extreme in Azteca queen head shape, having the proportionately broadest head of any Azteca queen I have seen. It is only tentatively identified as A. trigona, since the taxonomy of the trigona group is not well worked out. See further discussion of the trigona group under A. chartifex.
