Natural History

This species occurs in montane forest habitats. I know it from only three collections: a winkler sample from Refugio Eladio, a wet forest site at 800m in the Pe–as Blancas Valley near Monteverde; a Winkler sample from Fila Cruces near Wilson Botanical Garden; and workers collected by the Kaspari research group at Wilson Botanical Garden.
