Range

Costa Rica (Monteverde).

Identification

In usual resting position, mandibles flush against anterior border of clypeus; clypeus large and triangular, completely concealing labrum; petiolar node subcuboidal, with distinct vertical anterior and posterior faces in lateral view; face densely punctate; HW about 1.16mm; scapes far surpass margin of vertex.

Natural History

I know this species from one specimen: Puntarenas Prov.: 1km SW Monteverde, 10¡18'N, 84¡49'W, 1350m, 18 May 1988 (coll. J. Longino); road through a pasture, worker on ground.
