Range

Costa Rica: Atlantic slope of Cordillera Volcanica Central, 1100m elevation.

Identification

This may be the major worker of one of the other Camponotus species known only from minor workers.

Natural History

This species inhabits montane wet forest. It is known from one major worker collected by Project ALAS. It occurred in a Malaise trap at the 1100m site on the Barva Transect in Braulio Carrillo National Park.
