Range

Colombia, Costa Rica. Costa Rica: Osa Peninsula.

Identification

Medium size; color black; anterior clypeal margin concave; petiolar node broad, rounded, symmetrical front to back; postpetiole lacking anteroventral process.

Natural History

This species occurs in lowland rainforest of the Osa Peninsula. Foragers are relatively common on extrafloral nectaries. I have never found a nest in Costa Rica, but I have one record from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta area of Colombia, where I found a nest in a small dead stick.
