Simopelta williamsi Wheeler: Type locality is Ecuador; Mackay and Mackay identified as williamsi a collection from near Las Cruces. Given the non-concordance of our species concepts, I might identify it differently. My guess is that I would identify the collection as a version of S. andersoni.
