Identification A medium sized species with body length less than 19.5 mm; sides of prothorax entirely crenulate; prothorax with obtuse rounded right angles, small fovea located outside the linear latero-basal impression; elytra with strong humeral tooth and convex intervals; head and pronotum shiny; body and appendages black. Range Occurs in Pacific coastland from Skagway, Alaska to Oregon Natural History Found in damp deciduous and coniferous forests usually near water or under stones, logs, and leaf litter. On TESC campus, found primarily in mixed woods and with lower frequency in broadleaf and conifer woods.
