Identification This species is brown-black, with pale yellowish appendages; basal antennal segment slender and cylindrical; prothorax with distinct margins and sharp hind angles. Range Inhabits the coastal plain and western mountain ranges from southern California to western Washington and northern Idaho. Natural History A hygrophilous species, occuring along stony, barren margins of running waters. This species is dependent on water and therefore inhabits the coastal plain. |
